Percentage of terrorists in Gitmo: 7%

"At least 93 percent of the 779 men and boys imprisoned in total were either completely innocent people, seized as a result of dubious intelligence or sold for bounty payments, or Taliban foot soldiers, recruited to fight an inter-Muslim civil war that began long before the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and that had nothing to do with al-Qaeda, Osama bin Laden or international terrorism." — Gauntanamo: The Definitive Prisoner List (updated for 2010)
Ninety-three per cent! Remember that it was their supposed membership of Al Qaeda that emboldened Bush to deprive them their normal rights under the Geneva conventions and set up Gitmo in the first place. The enemy were not fighting fair — they were terrorists — so they had no right to the protection afforded soldiers in wartime or even to foreign nationals. And how many of those in Gitmo turned out to be actual terrorists? 7%. Bush was wrong 93% of the time. 93% of the people there have been illegally denied their rights under international law. And people wonder whether these people are entitled to see a lawyer.
